The Local News Project II [2003]: was the second national study by Market Trends Research to examine reporting produced by stations. The Local News Project I of 1998 and 1999 was the first national research study to focus primarily on listener reactions to station-produced reporting. The Local News Project I [1998-1999]: The largest station-supported research project in public radio history and the first study to examine the value of locally produced information programming. Twenty-two stations participated in this ground-breaking research. Dissemination of the research results was funded in part by Public Radio International [PRI].

The "Public Internet" Study [2000]: In partnership with WKSU and made possible in part by The Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Participating stations include WKSU, Michigan Radio, WUNC, and KPBS. The first national research testing listener attitudes and expectations about the design and content of public radio Web sites, e-commerce, programming and the funding of public radio in an Internet world.
